Alison Kaine Mysteries
Just a Little Lie
Mistress
Anastasia, the lovely leather femme, has every right to be irritated with her
butch girlfriend, Alison Kaine. A mystery is the last thing she needs right
now. Putting on a leather event has turned out to be more work than Stacy ever
imagined - having to contend with tantruming tops, badly behaving exs and picketing
separatists. To keep her from stirring up intrigue, Stacy has relegated Alison
to the simple job of driving the
airport shuttle.
Alison may be on leave from the Denver PD, but she has been a cop too long to ignore the
undercurrent of malice and deception beneath the bantering and blatant sexuality of the
Wildfire conference. Can Alison work quickly enough to uncover old feuds and secrets - or
will someone go home as cargo?

Marta Goicochea Mystery
I Knew You Would Call
I
Knew You Would Call features Marta Goicochea, a Basque-American
phone psychic and her outrageous butch cousin Mary Clare. Their friend Polly
is arrested for murder and Marta uses her psychic insights to discover the truth.
Author Kate Allen's novels have the ability to capture the current controversies
in the lesbian community and describe them with insight and humor. In this one
she tackles the issues of incest survival, abusive lesbian relationships, and
child custody. I Knew You Would Call is complex, funny, powerfully written,
and more realistic than most mysteries, lesbian or otherwise.
Published 1991, New Victoria Publishers Inc.
