Mystery Women Authors
Dorothy Bryant
Biography
Dorothy Bryant was born in San Francisco, the second daughter of immigrants from northern Italy. Bryant studied and taught music until 1960, when she began to write fiction. She lives in Berkeley California, with her husband, who helps run her independent publishing company, Ata Books.
The information I have found about Dorothy Bryant has come from a 1981 Women's Press edition of Killing Wonder. I do not know if Ata Books still exist - I could not find them on the Net. If you have any information please email me.

Killing Wonder
Dorothy
Bryant's witty detective novel is in the classic style, complete with a joyful
twist at the end. And behind the gentle barbs of its satire is a serious story
about the place of writing in a woman's life, and the ambivalence and divided
loyalties which haunt the courts of the famous. (From The Women's Press
edition)
